Terms of Service
Last updated 18 June 2026
Plain-language terms for using Sleeve — no traps, no fine-print surprises. If anything here is unclear, email dylan@squareone.nl and we’ll gladly explain.
What Sleeve is
Sleeve is a macOS app by Square One for designing and building .dmg installer windows. Designing is completely free. Building a finished disk image needs a paid license, which you buy inside the app — currently a one-time €29.
Your license
One purchase covers one person for one year. During that year, every Sleeve release builds disk images without limits. The part we think is genuinely fair: any version released during your licensed year keeps building forever, even after the year ends — you never lose the ability to use what you already had. Only versions released after your year need a renewal.
Use it on the Macs you personally work on. Please don’t share, resell, or sublicense your license — that’s what keeps a small indie tool alive.
Payment, delivery & refunds
Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. Your license is delivered instantly and digitally the moment payment completes.
You keep your statutory EU 14-day right of withdrawal. If Sleeve isn’t right for you, email us within 14 days of purchase and we’ll refund you in full — no questions asked. If a payment is refunded or charged back, the related license ends.
What you make is yours
Your projects and the disk images you build are entirely your own. They stay on your Mac — Sleeve never uploads them and claims no rights to your designs, icons, or apps.
Fair use
Build as many installers as you like, for your own apps and for clients. We only ask that you don’t redistribute the Sleeve app itself, share a license between people, or try to bypass licensing.
Updates & availability
Sleeve updates itself through Sparkle. We work to keep the service and downloads running smoothly, but can’t promise zero downtime. If we ever have to retire Sleeve, the versions covered by your license will keep building — that perpetual fallback is the point.
Warranty & liability
Sleeve is provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for your license. None of this affects the mandatory consumer rights you have under EU and Dutch law — those always apply.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we’ll change the date above and call out anything significant. Continuing to use Sleeve after a change means you accept the updated terms.
